bringing Christ-centered hope and wholeness to orphan care
We say Goodbye
December 28, 2018
From the beginning, Good Neighbor Missions International has had one goal. To bring Christ centered hope and wholeness to orphan care. With this always as our mission, we have focused most of those efforts specifically towards Good Neighbor Orphanage, Haiti.
Earlier this year, Founders Jake and Kindra Church made the important decision to resign from GNMI as the Lord called them into a new season. After much prayer, many discussions with John Thelus, and seeking to fill those positions, the board of GNMI stepped in to make transitions.
GNMI has spent the last 6 months partnering with BellaVie International. This was done intentionally for 2 reasons.
1. All positions at both GNMI and BellaVie are 100% volunteer filled and run. So for administration reasons, this was the most effective solution.
2. Both ministries wanted to make sure the partnership was a good fit for all involved. From the people in Haiti to you, the donors, and both boards.
BellaVie is the “middle man”, between those that want to help, and children that need help. Their partner ministries include:
* malnutrition clinics
* family preservation
* foster care
* human trafficking
* single mothers
After many long and wonderful years of fulfilling God’s call for GNMI, as of January 31, 2019, we will be closing. We do this with full confidence in BellaVie to not only continue to be effective for Good Neighbor Orphanage, but also for many other ministries that God has orchestrated.
Our hope is that no donations are lost. ALL DONATIONS CAN BE MADE THROUGH BELLAVIE AND CAN CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE EXACT PLACES THEY HAVE BEEN. Whether you have been sponsoring a child, a salary, school, the building project, or anything else, every option will still be available to you. We understand Good Neighbor Orphanage monthly budget must remain stable for the children and staff in Haiti to not be effected.
We THANK YOU for your many years of continued faithfulness to the people in Haiti through GNMI. We ask for your patience and Grace as BellaVie updates their systems and donor accommodations through January in preparation to accommodate these changes as of Feb 1, 2019.
You will be contacted by Jamie Wilson within the next 2 weeks to see if you would like to continue your support through BellaVie and how to easily make the transition if you so wish.
God Bless and Happy New Year
The Board of GNMI
